Le Christ Jaune (The Yellow Christ), Paul Gauguin, 1889
One of the first painting I ever saw by my now-favorite artist is this beautiful Passion that hangs in the Buffalo AKG Art Museum in Buffalo, New York. As always, I love how Gauguin uses color and line in an unexpected but evocative way—I find it helps me reconsider a familiar subject in a fresh way that sparks new contemplation. Read more here.
